February!

Hello friends!
It is a the start of a fresh week and a fresh month!  Wow, I can’t believe that January is already over!  I had some goals to accomplish last month but they just didn’t happen.  Struggling with insomnia the first 2 weeks was a bit rough, and then getting sick the last 2 weeks really put things on hold.  But that is life, and what can I do.  Getting myself back to full health has been the goal.  I did manage to get some workouts in last week.  For any of you who do Body Pump can we just groan in misery?? This new release is tough!  I managed to get in 3 classes last week and I have to say that today I did feel a little stronger, but more about that coming on Wednesday!

A little recap of the month
– Ran 31 miles (WAY under my goal, but considering the month I will take each mile!!)
– Participated in body pump, Zumba, and piyo classes

– Created/tried some new recipes (Gluten free pizza, Scottish porridge, taco soup, and black bean soup)

– Got creative in the kitchen and made my own organic deodorant and a massive batch of organic sugar scrubs


– Had lots of fun adventures with all my nanny kiddos

– Celebrated 2 years as a Sweat Pink Ambassador


– Got a new car battery on the way to mailing a bunch of fun packages!


– Had a fun zoo adventure with the Hubs and some friends

– Was blessed to get to see 2 of my college girls that I was an RA for back in the early 2000s!

– Finally put up our posters from our 2015 travels

– Was reminded of how fragile life is and to not take anything or person for granted!

– And prepare for the Hubs birthday!!

As I look back on January, I am even more determined to kick some booty on my Feb goals! Here are just a few of them to start

  • Run 75-100 miles
  • 2-3 BP classes, 1-2 Zumba classes and 1-2 Piyo classes a week
  • Blog 4-5 times a week
  • Continue to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night
  • Follow my meal plan (already off track…so will try again tomorrow)
  • Study 30-60 min each night
  • 30 min of organizing each night (on the days I am not traveling)
  • Celebrate the Hubs ALL month!
  • Make homemade Valentine’s Day cards and mail
  • Continue listening to the Daily Audio Bible and reading She Reads Truth!
  • Pay off 1 more acct
  • Get email accts down to less than 100 each (over 8000 now..)
  • Start Etsy page

    Your zoo pictures, just made me wish for sunshine. Winter is in full here right now and days like today I am really looking forward to some of that sunshine!
    Love all your February goals. You made such great progress in January!

    Ok I just have to ask are you finding more than 24 hours in the day?? Seriously you are getting way more than I am. Although, it could be that I don’t manage my time nearly as well as you do! Ha. Where to start in this post, first I’m so glad you chose to link up with us this week. Very happy to have you back, it has been some time. I think we all got off to a rocky start to 2016 but looks like your getting back on track for February! I made a coconut oil sugar scrub last week too! Tell me what are in all those packages and what kind of etsy shop are you opening? I’d love to know! 🙂 OMG my email numbers can get so out of hand in so little time too! I also have to go down the list from oldest to newest too. OCD here 🙂

      Tricia- you are so sweet. I wish I was finding more than 24 hours a day. One bonus I have is that I am able to get some of my workout/computer work done during my work time when my nanny kiddos are in school. Helps me a ton!
      I’m glad to be linking up again. I have been totally forgetting to do so, but I’ve added it to my blog to-do list each week!
      So thankful for a new month! It’s already going way better than January! I feel there are too many expectations for January, and hello, I don’t have to accomplish ALL my goals in 1 month! Haha
      Yay for scrubs! Did you make one with a scent? I’m going to open an etsy shop for homemade & organic products: deodorant, scrubs, laundry soap, & sleep cream to start. Branching out in my business!
      The packages were a VERY belated thank you letter/picture/gift for the friends and family who supported out mission trip to Africa in July 2015….see very belated…lol
      Oh the email! I literally need 1 entire day with NO distractions…ok, maybe a little Netflix to keep me going. Hehe

        I agree with you and January’s expectations!! Moving forward in February! I made a almond scrub. I love almond scent and we’ll it’s all I had. Please let me know when you get up your shop. I’d love to visit.

    It’s always so much fun to visit the zoo. It’s been too long for me. I only recently became familiar with Etsy (I know, I know!) so make sure to tell us when you get your shop open! Looking at your posters, you went on some wonderful trips last year. Do you have any travel plans for this year? It always nice to get a fresh month to start anew. Most of my January goals didn’t happen either. I’m glad you are feeling better. Thanks for linking with us Esther.

      I sure do love the zoo! It’s always fun no matter how old I am!
      I’ve been attempting to do an Etsy shop for years and I’m just finally getting around to getting it put together.
      Yes, last year was a fun travel year. So far I have trips to Nashville, LA, Atlanta and hopefully PA and Chicago lined up. The Hubs really wants to go to Alaska but we will see.
      Yay for new months and fresh starts! 😉

    You did a great job for being sick for so much of the month! The zoo looks like so much fun! I haven’t been to a zoo in years. I love your Feb goal list! That is motivation for me to make one!

    I fell short of my goal for January too due to taking a week off for sinus congestion. I’m glad you’re feeling better. I’m sure you’ll meet your goals for February. Happy Birthday to your husband! I love the pics from the zoo. I haven’t been to the zoo in ages.
