Day 2 of the October blogging challenge! I have been working on finding more things to be thankful for lately. I have seen many of my Facebook friends take on little thankful challenges and it makes my heart so happy. I know there is a lot of junk that happens in all of our lives, but I have really learned that no matter what, there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for!
So here are a few things I am really thankful for today!
1. My husband! We have been together for almost 5 years and married a little over 3. He puts up with a lot from me, and he is a saint for all the love and support he gives me!
2. My job! Some people have asked me why I do what I do even with having my master’s degree, and it is easy, I LOVE it! I get to work with amazing families, and each day is an adventure!
3. My bed! We saved and got a new mattress/box spring and bed frame last year, and I have been in bed heaven ever since! I LOVE my bed, and I am so thankful that I have a beautiful and comfortable bed! (Now to just get more sleep….)
4. Ability to exercise! Over the years I have dealt with several different medical/health issues and each time the doctors told me I would not be able to do certain things any more (run, do pushups, lift heavy weights, etc). I took that advice and threw it out the window (with some caution), and since then I have finished over 50 races, I lift like a beast, and I can do a push-up (well sort of…haha). Staying active is a privilege that I do NOT take lightly! 5. I have consistent access to the basics of life! Food in the fridge, roof over my head, clothes to wear, clean water to drink, and even luxuries like 2 cars, $ in the bank, all the bills paid, and the opportunity to travel.
I have so so much to be THANKFUL for!!!
